For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the “Act”), we are the data controller.
1. Information we may collect from you
We may collect and process the following data about you:
- 1.1 Information you give us. You may give us information about you by filling in forms on our site www.whisk.com (“our site”) or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise or whilst using our services, including applications buttons, browsers, plugins and application programming interfaces (the “Services”). This includes information you provide when you register to use our site or the Services, search for a product/recipe, place an order via our site or as a result of using our Services, participate in discussion boards or other social media functions on our site or via our Services, enter a competition, promotion or survey and when you report a problem with our site or Services. The information you give us may include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number, financial and credit card information, personal description and photograph.
- 1.2 Information that we collect about you. With regard to each of your visits to our site or when using the Services we may automatically collect the following:
- 1.2.1 technical information, including the Internet protocol address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform; and
- 1.2.2 information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators clickstream to, through and from our site or Services as applicable) (including date and time); products/recipes/ingredients you viewed or searched for; page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page and any phone number used to call our customer service number.
- 1.3 Information we receive from other sources. We may receive information about you if you use any of the other websites we operate with or through or run or the other services we provide either through our site or any of the aforementioned sites. We collect all such data (which may consist of any of the data referred to at paragraphs 1.1 or 1.2) and it may be shared and combined with data collected on our site. We are also working closely with third parties (including, for example, business partners, sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers, credit reference agencies) and may receive and share information about you from and with them.

- 5.2.2 advertisers and advertising networks that require the data to select and serve relevant adverts to you and others. We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to our advertisers, but we may provide them with aggregate information about our users (for example, we may inform them that 500 men aged under 30 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, women in SW1). We may make use of your information, including the personal data we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers’ wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience; and
- 5.2.3 analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our site.
- 5.3 We may disclose your information to third parties:

6. Your rights
- 6.1 You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. - 6.2 Our site and our Services may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. 7. Access to information
- The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
